To work as a Taxi Driver in Northern Ireland, you must have a Taxi Drivers Licence.
You are required to have held a normal driving license for at least three years before you can start the process, and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
There is some testing involved, we will pay for the cost of your Theory Test and Taxi License. It can take a month or two to complete the process, but we will help throughout the process.
When you apply for a new Taxi Driver License, you will need to complete a medical to ensure you are fit for driving and any age related issues, or disabilities are considered as part of this process. There is no maximum age limit for driving a taxi.

What about costs and earnings?
Our drivers keep 100% of their fares.
Card payment or account fees that Foyle Taxi Co process are not deducted from the drivers fares.
We pay our drivers for any account work they complete weekly.
Roof Signs, Meter and Printer Equipment are all provided and installed free of charge.
We offer full and part time rent options at fixed rates. Your rent does not increase as your earnings do unlike some other taxi operators.
